Prof. Dr Heike Henning

Prof. Dr Heike Henning is a professor of instrumental and vocal pedagogy and a lecturer in choral and ensemble conducting at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. She is the director of various choirs in Austria and Germany, an internationally sought-after speaker in the field of children’s and youth choir conducting and an enthusiastic music teacher.

She is passionate about providing access to cultural education for as many people as possible. In addition to her intensive artistic and pedagogical practice, she is dedicated to research in the fields of choral pedagogy, virtual music-making practices, music-making in diversity contexts and instrumental and vocal didactic development research.

She is the founder and director of the Centre for Choral Pedagogical Research and Practice at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.
