Prof. Andrea Angelini

Born in Bologna, Italy, Andrea Angelini, a versatile musician, earned a Master in piano and choral music from the Rimini and Ferrara Conservatoires. He furthered his education with another Master in Choral Conducting and Choral Composition at the Cesena Conservatoire of Music, exploring Renaissance Choral Music in England and Rome.

As the Artistic Director and Conductor of Musica Ficta Vocal Ensemble, Andrea showcased his talents globally, collaborating with the choir Carla Amori for years and leading various ensembles as a guest conductor. Andrea impact extends to international choir competitions, where he served on the jury across Italy, Europe, and Asia. He conducts choral workshops globally. Beyond his conducting roles, he holds key positions as the artistic director of prestigious events like the Rimini International Choral Competition and Claudio Monteverdi Choral Competition.

With a rich editorial background, Andrea spent 11 years as the Editor of the International Choral Bulletin, the IFCM’s membership magazine. Currently, he serves as the Editor of DIRIGO, the magazine of the National Association of Italian Choral Conductors. He currently serves as the President of AERCO, the Emilia-Romagna Regional Association of Choirs. Additionally, he imparts his knowledge as a Choir Conducting instructor at the Castelfranco Veneto Conservatoire of Music.
