The first WCCN Convention gives the network a face

From March 28 to 30, the first in-person convention of the World Choral Conducting Network (WCCN) took place in Berlin. What had grown digitally was brought to life on site: 23 choral conductors from 11 nations came together to connect, exchange ideas, and set new impulses for the future.

Engaging lectures and open discussions highlighted the diversity of challenges—and the great shared potential—within the international choral scene. In reading sessions, choral music from around the world filled the room, offering a moving expression of what the network truly stands for.

What proved especially valuable were the personal conversations between program sessions: not only were ideas shared, but concrete plans were made to shape the future direction of the network. The first WCCN Convention clearly showed how strong the connection already is—and that from online to on site is only the beginning.
